3.2.2. USING THE MOUSE Mouse is used by employing a strategy or method called “clicking”. Clicking is a command meaning to press the left or right mouse button. There are three different methods of using the mouse, namely, 3.2.2.1. Left clicking 3.2.2.1. Left clicking Left clicking is pressing the left mouse button. 3.2.2. 2. Right clicking Right clicking is pressing the right mouse button. 3.2.2.3. Double clicking Double clicking means to press the left mouse button twice 3.2.2.4. Drag and drop Drag and drop is using the left mouse to drag a file or folder and drop it in a different location. UNIT THREE: THE COMPUTER DESKTOP WINDOW 3.3. THE COMPUTER DESKTOP WINDOW Desk top is the television like screen, which displays information processed by the system unit. The screen that is facing you, bearing items such as icons of folders, my computer, recycle bin, my document, Internet explorer, Time, Windows media etc is the desk top. The appearance of the desktop window depends on the type the type of operating system on your computer. There are different operating systems- Windows 95, windows 98, windows XP, windows Vista etc. in this book the explanation of the desk top features is based on windows 7. |
