ii. The numeric keys

The number keys are situated below the Function keys. Numeric keys are the keys that bear the figures 1 to 0.

iii. The home keys

The home keys are situated below the top row keys- QWERTY.  These are the keys use for starting typing.

iv. Top row keys

The top row keys comprised of the QWERTY keys and others. This is the origin of the name of the key board (QWERTY keyboard)

v. Bottom row keys

The bottom keys are the keys situated below the home keys.

vi. Space bar

The space bar is the longest key on the keyboard. It is used for creating space between letters, words while typing.

 vii. Shift key

 

viii. Enter key

The enter key is situated on the right part of the keyboard. It is used for created paragraphs or moving to the next line while typing.

ix. Escape key

The escape key has ESC written on it and is situated at the top left corner of the keyboard. Escape key is used for exiting a page or removing a dialogue box placed on the desk top. Below is the picture of the escape key.

x. Control key

The control key is situated on the left lower part of the keyboard. It is used in conjunction with other keys to execute a command. For instance, pressing the control key with the s key will save the document you are working on in Microsoft words. Below is the picture of the control key.

xi. Alternate key

The alternate key is used in conjunction with other keys to execute a command. Below is the picture of the alternate key.
