BASIC COMPUTER OPERATIONS AND CONCEPTS

3.1.4.8. Data transfer

Computers are used for transferring data/information from one place to another, e.g. the internet. E- Mail (Electronic mail) services are available on the internet. This service is used for sharing information - text, images, pictures, audios, videos etc. between individuals or organizations.

3.1.4.9. Networking- Conference operation

Computers are used for conducting conferences or meetings between two or more people over long distances. For instance, one can use online conference or online chatting, video conferencing to attend a conference with different people stationed in different parts of the world at same time.

3.2. PARTS OF COMPUTER SYSTEM

Computers composed whether mini, super or main frame or personal, has the same components. Basically computers compressed of the following components or parts:

3.2.4. PROCESSES OR METHODS

3.2.5. DATA AND INFORMATION

3.2.1.HARD WARE

Computer hardware are the physical parts of the computer you can see, touch and manipulate. Some of the common hardwares are: -

3.2.1.1.  Input devices
3.2.1.2. Output devices
3.2.1.3. System unit
3.2.1.4. Storage  devices
3.2.2. SOFTWARE

Software's are computer programs which instructs the computer on how to perform all its activities such as booting, typing, drawing, playing games, videos etc. 

3.2.3. PEOPLES WARE

People ware is the different types of persons that use computers. These could be programmers, educationists or system analysts.
