NASAL CAVITY
The nasal cavity is the first part of the respiratory system. It communicates to the external via the nostrils. It is lined with three important features:
- Hairs - The hairs help in the filtration of dust and other unwanted materials.
- Mucous membrane- The mucous produces mucus which moisten the cavity
Olfactory cells- The olfactory cells help in detecting smell or odour
