POSTERIOR PITUITARY- ANTIDIREUTIC HORMONE. The hypothalamus regulates the secretion of ADH based on the amount of water in body fluids. FUNCTIONS OF ANTIDIREUTIC HORMONE Antidireutic hormone produces its effect by causing the kidneys to conserve water. DEFICENCY OF ANTIDIREUTIC HORMONE The deficiency of the antidireutic hormone results in a condition called Diabetes Insipidus- insufficient ADH loss of water balance. |
