The oesophagus links the bucaal cavity with the stomamach. It is a tube like structure through the bolus, food from the mouth is transported down to the stomach.
It is muscular and the contraction of these muscles help in the movement of the food towards the stomach. These muscular contraction are called PERISTALSIS.
